Tenant-ownership law
Tenant-ownership associations own and manage substantial economic assets and handle matters across many areas of law. The board's responsibilities range from finances, monthly fees and membership issues to property maintenance, procurement of contractors and the role as landlord for residential and commercial premises. We are an experienced legal partner who can support and guide the board with commitment and precision.
Disputes can arise between, for example, the tenant-ownership association and tenant-owners. The association is responsible for the property and the tenant-owners for the interior of their respective apartments, which can lead to disputes over boundaries of responsibility. Disputes may also arise with contractors.
We assist both tenant-ownership associations and tenant-owners in tenant-ownership matters, including disturbances and other forfeiture issues, terminations, amendments to by-laws, general meetings, board support, right of use agreements, leases and lettings, as well as new developments and preparation of financial plans. We also help with disputes and construction law matters.
